Where are you

Are you here?

I see you not

I waited for this time

A time I never forgot

I have always lived in the past

Learned to give in to moments that shall not last

I have learned

I have been told not to question

But I yearn

Be it truth or be it lesson

A truth unspoken

A knowledge misunderstood

A burning question

I need to be heard

Where are you?

Why am I in this time?

Why am I in this Life?

Where are you?

Why have you left me here?

away from my time of old

If I don’t see you

How can one be certain?

How can I put all of my faith in my beliefs?

How can one trust in fantasy?

In a reality not my own

So I ask this one question

A question known

I have the answer

Yet I ask this one question

In hope of a sign

Where are you?

So Far

Watching

Waiting

Gazing silently at the horizon… listening to my heart

All my thoughts escaped

At peace

All my thoughts escaped

But only for a moment

For they shall return

They shall come flooding into my mind

Harkening to my soul

Bombarding me with feelings

Regret, longing, memories, failures… want

I see it

Where I envision myself

I feel it

My Soul waits in confusion

Two lives

Two desires

One pure

One tainted

My soul waits in contemplation

It doesn’t know what to feel

So much has simply passed

time

dreams

thoughts

knowledge simply slipping though the mind

landing on the wings of an angel

she waits

arms reaching to entrust the moments lost

“your answers”

she waits

I get tired of looking

The horizon so far away

Of all my wants

Of all my searching

I want to be complete

I want to be one

Mind and Soul

Letting the ego go

Yet it is so far

One must travel the endless journey

To meet the horizon

This journey

Is life

And life

As the horizon

is infinite

Let us live

Journey to the end of the world

It may be far

So far

It may be

Let it be

A smile

A true smile
A gentle flex of the fragile muscles surrounding the mouth.
Are we too busy to notice? Have you ever shared a smile? Try it, try to share, spread a good feeling between strangers. We are all strangers, we all need to feel. Let me feel your smile.
Sometimes I am amazed at the way we treat each other. Mostly too busy to notice the tears. Mostly occupied with life’s trivialities. Take a minute. Lend a hand. Share a smile. Hold a door for a stranger. Live in the same time with the rest of the world. We must do little things, not only for personal gratification, but for the world. Share yourself. Don’t be scared.

Is there life in a smile? What do you think?

Beginning and End

And He said…
“I will show you how it began”

He showed a place
Beautiful full of grace

He brought me to the start
“Feel the light,
Not far is the heart”

He took me there
Free of worry
Free of care

He showed me a tree
Roots and limbs free

Life breathes
Through the leaves

In this place
Beautiful full of grace
There was peace

Then He said…
“I will show you how it ends”

He brought upon me confusion
He brought upon me chaos

He showed me birth
He showed me death

He took me there
Free of worry
Free of care

He showed me a tree
Roots and limbs free

Then He said…
“Do you see?
Life is the tree,
In the beginning,
This is the end”

“I wish not confusion upon thee”

“I wish only you to see,
What a cycle life can be”

Emotion is life…
Through birth and death
Sadness is happiness
Life is death

“Although masked by the same,
You have given it a name”

Masks

Is your life yours?
Do you live for you?

Are you a prisoner to life?
Or do you lead your own?

We live day to day and hide.
Behind a veil we hide

Afraid to reveal our beauty

Afraid to remove the mask.

Are you in control?
Can you let it go?

We forget to look closely.
What we do not see
Owns us.

What we do not see
Controls us.

Deep down inside
The place where we hide
Our soul stirs
It screams
It pleads

“Remove the mask!”

If you hide in society
If you live in shame for goodness
Your soul is in shame
Your soul screams in vain.

All that renders lost feelings
All that gives forth hope
Begins to fade away.
We are not in control
We need our souls.

Enough.

There is no turning back time
There is only here and now
There is only life
There is only one.

Live today
Not yesterday
Nor tomorrow

Masks tie to your soul
Masks weigh on our hearts
Masks infringe on our minds
Masks get us lost
They hide our souls

Enough!

Time to reclaim
Time to release our souls
Our spirits whole
Show yourself and Smile
Live and be who you were meant to be!
