The I

I want to feel what I can not see

Look beyond my minds eye

Find within the sacred ties

I want to touch what is not real

Beneath my skin

To reach from within

I want to forget that which I have learned

Believe in what can not be proven

Perceive what has been hidden

Can I wake from this dream?

My Body

My mind

Through space

Through time

Can I finish this task?

Challenge my purpose

Take off the masks

Can I feel what can not be heard?

Breathe what cannot be seen

Hunger for knowledge and feast upon wisdom

Will I reach the end

Where time will lapse

When matter will suspend

All can be learned if only one listens to the questions… the infinite questions

Greater purpose

As the nights close and the mornings open, I am left with wonderment. Life by its own right is wondrously full of beauty and perfection. All aspects connecting to each other flawlessly as if by design. I am not going to make this about religion or philosophy, that is on you. I am only going to ponder the perfections and imperfections.

With all that is perfect in this life we as people are one of life’s most beautiful creatures. All so different yet all connected by one undeniable circumstance…Life. As being part of one greater good we must recognize and appreciate the randomness.

One would think, being it such a small world and such a “short” life, we* would want to connect and learn from each other to the fullest. Yet we hide. We engulf ourselves with such menial and dulling tasks. We distract our purpose for the routine. We shadow our faces and hide behind masks. We wear such beautiful masks and hide our souls more beautiful light. This in itself is exhausting.

What is the purpose of these masks? To hide negative emotions? To conceal deep feelings?
To repress sadness and anger? Why must these be disguised? What is wrong with these emotions? Life is based upon complexity, as are our emotions. And that is beauty.

On the other hand it may not be a mask, it may be something deeper, darker, it may be fear… is it simply the subconscious hiding fear? Fear of the unknown? I am aware of people not wishing to address certain issues such as death, life, God, meaning, purpose, destiny…The list can go on and on. Metaphysics is captivating and certainly scary to some. Is the solution to hide? To pretend they don’t exist? To not question?

I know not the answers, just thinking on “paper”. It makes me sad sometimes, I try to find people to converse on these issues. I feel as if I am alone on my feelings, I feel great sadness for those who wish not to question life. What greater purpose have we? What greater adventure is there than to seek and uncover the meanings within ourselves. As for now I sit and stare into the screen, I try to find why I chose this topic today…

As Duma Key was pondering his masks, perhaps I too have pondered mine

*As “we”, I speak only on people I encounter and myself. I speak not for all, for there are some that are stronger than I and can break the facade.

Wisdom of Ages

Solar_Eclipse_comp_3b_crop1

The time came

Once

In an era of darkness

When the light radiated from within its people

Shined from within their hearts

Lost in darkness yet unafraid

For there lay magic within the minds

Powers within their hearts

And knowledge within their Souls

The time has come once

Again

In an era of light

This time the light outshines the people

The light blinds their hearts

Impairs their minds

Shadows their Soul

Surrounded by a light of falsehood

The people are unaware to the Soul’s fear

For the people have forgotten the magic

Hushed the voice of the mind

Instead turned to the voice of the machine

The machine which radiates the light we made

I sit here and ponder how lost we can become… life running around us at speeds too fast to comprehend. The oneness, the whole of the world… integrated with time

Yet distancing us from the times we left behind

Our memories

Even before our lifetime we were blessed to have the wisdom of the ages. Blessed and yet too busy to look for the meanings, too busy for once we had them and let them fall silent. Silent as a language not practiced and silenced for lack of confidence. Yet we fear not for we have them recorded. Today they are translated  in our modern world. Categorized, defined and compartmentalizes into easy convenient  truths  easily digested as myth, reality or fact…

The fact is

We lost the magic, the gift, the wonder of not understanding and accepting… we even define God… The ancients knew God… Through fear and awe… Through nature and the Heavens… Through the body and the mind… through the Soul

I sit here and ponder…

*

The Seer who lost sight

*

The witch bound by her own witchery

*

The wizard with lost wisdom

*

A prophet to prophesies the past

Yet  the time came once

In an era of darkness

When the people were not afraid

Perhaps the false light shall fail

Will you be able to see?

But for a moment

Tell all what you see
Enlighten the soul
Awaken the dream

Show all to your sight
Grant one a vision
Give all the right

Allow but a chance to be free
Spreading the wings of the soul
Releasing the barrier of the body

Guide and teach one of love
Show all the meaning
That none shall rise above

Then as all ask you

All these tedious things
Implore and haunt you
For all which you bring

As one bothers your mind
With puzzles and riddles
The countless have none other than time

It is only the pleading
As one bowes before thee
It is one soul which is aching
To walk blind but for a moment to see

Ideally Imperfect

What were we taught?
Think about what we know.
It was all created by us,
Language and society.
All of it is conceptualized by us.

A baby is born into the world
We nourish, teach and love
We raise it, as we were raised
Sometimes different,
But most with good intentions

Sometimes along the way
A path is crossed
A child ventures the wrong direction
That child in the future misguided,
Misguides another
This cycle, vicious as is
Is Life

It takes One to eat from the forbidden fruit
It takes One to lead the wrong life
It takes One to teach the wrong message
It takes One to corrupt a beautiful mind

But alas, all is not lost.
The soul is pure,
It is the vessel is tainted
To live and learn the lessons of this Life

We teach based on word of mouth
We teach based on basic principles
We want to achieve good

Point being
We know what we were taught
We accept what was given
We trust what has been spoken

What if we question life?
What if we change one part of our existence
What if we train society to be less of what it knows
End the vicious cycle of want and unnecessary needs
Begin a new existence
Utopian Visionary
Ideally imperfect

Blessed

I am not one to speak greatly on my religious beliefs. I feel them to be a personal and quiet subject. I believe in what I believe in. A few days ago I came across a plaque. It is a beautiful stone slab with a verse from the Bible engraved in it.
It touched my heart and made my soul turn with joy. So my thinking is, let me share…

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be showed mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 5:1-13

The simple implication, no matter your religious belief. It makes you want to believe in something. No matter religions, sciences, practices. It is simply a beautiful reminder that justifies Life. Hope you smile…
