Ideally Imperfect

What were we taught?
Think about what we know.
It was all created by us,
Language and society.
All of it is conceptualized by us.

A baby is born into the world
We nourish, teach and love
We raise it, as we were raised
Sometimes different,
But most with good intentions

Sometimes along the way
A path is crossed
A child ventures the wrong direction
That child in the future misguided,
Misguides another
This cycle, vicious as is
Is Life

It takes One to eat from the forbidden fruit
It takes One to lead the wrong life
It takes One to teach the wrong message
It takes One to corrupt a beautiful mind

But alas, all is not lost.
The soul is pure,
It is the vessel is tainted
To live and learn the lessons of this Life

We teach based on word of mouth
We teach based on basic principles
We want to achieve good

Point being
We know what we were taught
We accept what was given
We trust what has been spoken

What if we question life?
What if we change one part of our existence
What if we train society to be less of what it knows
End the vicious cycle of want and unnecessary needs
Begin a new existence
Utopian Visionary

Blessed

I am not one to speak greatly on my religious beliefs. I feel them to be a personal and quiet subject. I believe in what I believe in. A few days ago I came across a plaque. It is a beautiful stone slab with a verse from the Bible engraved in it.
It touched my heart and made my soul turn with joy. So my thinking is, let me share…

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be showed mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 5:1-13

The simple implication, no matter your religious belief. It makes you want to believe in something. No matter religions, sciences, practices. It is simply a beautiful reminder that justifies Life. Hope you smile…

Echo

Thundering, beating painfully in my chest

My mind tries to grant solace

Reasons for the echo that grant me no rest

The echo as I lay, eyes closed dreaming of these words

The echo is enough to make my body rise

Outside

Time hangs on the walls of the mind

The mind is a home

Still and Bare

The future is outside the open doors

Neither aware

Nor scared

Hanging in the open air

The meadow calls for one to dance

The wind beckons for one to sing

The memories fade to an everlasting spring

For the journey has yet to begin

I stand

Clear

Staring

The door seems to fade

Then thought distracts

Remove my eyes so I can see

Free my mind so I can be

Take my heart so I can feel

Show me what I have always sensed as real

Always there

TheMightyAngel-Web

She sat quietly,

Contentment and peace resting on her heart.

Had this truly happened?

The  night as always, dark and pure

Exploded with the lights of a hundred fireflies…

She smiled and turned

There

At her side

She saw

Her Angel

The face she always knew, yet never saw

The friend she always heard, yet knew not the voice

There at her side

Yet she was not surprised

For she always knew

She always heard

The Angel in her heart

Shadow Dawn

We call for truth

Yet ignore reality

As fallacy brings forth

An unmistakable prophecy

We seek words of tomorrow

Yet read stories of sorrow

Watching as mischief winds

The endless hands of time

Together we wait

If only to glimpse a wary fate

Need we heed the days of past

Watch the shadows as are cast

Then as the shadows fall

Our spirits will renew

Then only when the shadows fade

Will our stories begin anew
