Hopelessly “sarcastically” romantic…

“A thought is a creation, a manifestation of emotions strong enough to surface, yet subtle enough to remain in thought…Long forgotten or briefly remembered…always there, for eternity”

These are my words in response to a wonderful thought…a love letter of sorts…

As I ponder my words I drift into my mind…a wonderful place indeed…For all those who read my writings I rarely speak of love (the romantic kind)…I never noticed until someone I know bestowed upon me the title “sarcastic romantic”

Am I? Do I believe in love? I believe in the beauty and the power of love…I believe in the power of emotions evoked by love…I also believe that people can love uniquely and quietly…I do believe in more than love…

So if my beliefs are misunderstood as “sarcastically romantic”, Let it be, I’ll take on the challenge.

  2. (((m6fan)))…beautiful words make me smile, thank you for the smile!

(((Sea)))…I would love to thank you for the smile as well! All these brilliant words from Rumi blow my mind…again and again you share wisdom, that is a blessing

  3. Sometimes the fewest words speak the loudest. I believe your brevity speaks volumes here.

“I believe in the beauty and the power of love…I believe in the power of emotions evoked by love…I also believe that people can love uniquely and quietly…I do believe in more than love…”

It sounds a bit more like hopelessly than sarcastically to me. As always your work is a delight to read.

  4. (((Miss D)))…I guess I always considered love of Life, Purpose, Meaning, Mysteries , Philosophies as the driving forces behind my words…not understanding the force itself to be Love …who’s to truly understand the heart…

  5. Ultimately I think love is the driving force behind everything. What most people speak of as love (romantic love) is nothing of the sort – more need, want, lust, obsession. Easy to be sarcastic about that. I believe love and emotion are two different things. But real, true, genuine love…. that exists too – just not as often as we’d be led to believe.

  6. (((Zen)))…The only genuine love I believe in is love of family…there are other states of Love, none I would bank on…As for Love, it is a beautiful idea. Just gets a bit lost on the way…maybe we need to stop for directions…
