Nobody to somebody

How can someone do this? Hold and act on so much anger. What drives someone to take a life? This just goes to show, you never know. My sister made an excellent point. A nobody can become a somebody instantly.

What if…what if he woke and had a good morning? Actually felt good, alive. I feel sorry for him… He was obviously ill. He was obviously small. That doesn’t mean that this could have been prevented. Life is what it is, things are as they are.

As life unfolds and time passes, we have to learn from our mistakes. Don’t give up on others. Take a minute and reach out to someone else. We as a society have to open our eyes and hearts during the day to day, not only during tragedy. People need one another. We need to be nicer to one another, have empathy, grow as a society. Ignoring the problems will ultimately be our failure to Life.

Good Bye

Why do we forget the living
We remember the dead

Why is it always too late
To say the right things

Why do we take life for granted
We never appreciate what we see

When the night came
I had the chance

When the morning breaks
I screamed in pain
I screamed in vain

I never said goodbye
I wish I had

If I close my eyes
I can still see you

If I close my mind
I can still hear you

It never remains the same
Life and her cruel heart

It is not always what it seems
Then forever falls short

Leaving behind time
Time to hurt for the past

Who cares?

I am an opimist that has hit a wall. Something inside me has switched off. The hole in my heart has stretched to my stomach and is enveloping my soul. Not too long ago I suffered a great loss. All my friends and family at my side. Now time has past and just like time so has everything else. Who cares what is left after the fact. Is there a proper mourning period? Are we supposed to feel different after a day, a week, a month, or even a year? Do we ever regain the same state of being?
Who cares…to be truthful, we can only focus on someone else for a short period of time, then it is back to the ordinary.

Pantheism

Across my studies I came upon this concept. Forgetting all differences in religion and accepting what we all are(human), this seems to be the “right” definition of “God”.

“God is all” Pantheism “All is God”. It is the view that everything is God, and God is all. It states that the Universe, Nature and God are all equivalent. In other words natural law, existence and the universe is God. Interpreting the Bible, and peoples preconceived notions of reality can relate to this. When we see natures beauty and wrath, or stare up at the heavens, we see God. Believe what you will, Intelligent Design, Bible, Torah, Koran…it all fits. It is all one. The Universe and Earth are all in the same space. We are all in the same Life.

Our understanding of God is small. We know what we were taught. We know what we feel, and what we feel is Life. Somehow it all fits into a puzzle, Life and all. One connected maze leading us to the supreme reality, leading us to knowledge.

“A religion old or new, that stresses the magnificence of the Universe as revealed by modern science, might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by conventional faiths. Sooner or later such a religion will emerge”
-Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot (1994)

“Whatsoever is, is in God, and without God nothing can be, or be conceived. God is indwelling, and not the transient cause of all things”
-Baruch Spinoza

“I believe in Spinoza’s God who reveals Himself in orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with faits and actions of human beings”
-Albert Einstein

“A human being is part of a whole, called by us the “Universe”, a part limited in space and time. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest…a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty”
-Albert Einstein
